Zang is the director of the NMPA Key Laboratory for Technology Research and Evaluation of Drug Products, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University and the executive director of Near Infrared Spectral Branch of China Instrument Society. His research interests include near infrared spectroscopy, process analysis technology (PAT) pharmaceutical process application, intelligent quality control and the continuous production of drugs. His research interests also include the basis of TCM curative effect substance and its transfer rule, production process analysis, quality evaluation and quality process control.
