Austrian academic and researcher originally trained in electrical engineering; received his PhD in the field of biophysics. His expertise ranges from tropical marine ecosystems to environmental aerosols. Later on extended to include biophotonics with a focus on electrodynamic properties of water and its effects on living systems.
